We are springing back!

There’s a spring in our step as we gradually return to the world outside and the welcome company of our friends and neighbors. The new gathering space downtown, set to be finished by the end of April, is already attracting folks to enjoy the expanded area for music and socializing.

And, news flash! We’ve just learned that Concerts on the Green will return on Sunday, July 4! News of Davidson’s hands trembled as we entered that date into our Events Calendar, the first new, public event since who-knows-when.

In addition to Concerts on the Green, the town is adding two new concert series for your enjoyment. Concerts @ the Circles will take place on Jetton Street in front of The Linden Apartments and Second Saturday Concerts @ The Square will take place at South Main Square in the parking lot by The Crazy Pig. Please keep in mind that this schedule is subject to change based on Covid restrictions in place at the time. They are booking bands on the condition that they may be cancelled if we are not able to safely gather. We will keep you updated as the season progresses but we wanted to let you at least know the dates so you can block them on your calendar. The town is starting concerts later in the season when they think it is more likely that we’ll be able to have them and will be holding them through October.

The town is also having a Spring Art Crawl on Saturday, May 8 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Main Street through Downtown and South Main Square.
