This Week at DFM: May 22

by | May 20, 2021

The Davidson Farmers Market – every Saturday 9 – noon.

Hello DFM Shoppers,

Courtney and I are excited to announce that DFM will be bringing back live music to DFM starting Saturday, June 12. We’ve missed having live music at the market and are eager to bring local musicians back to support them and add to the market’s ambiance. If you are a local musician and would like to perform at DFM, please email me here for more information and scheduling.

With the changes related to COVID-19 restrictions, DFM only recommends shoppers, volunteers, vendors, and staff to wear a mask if they have not been fully vaccinated and/or are not able to socially distance. DFM, despite being outside, can get congested at times with shoppers and for the safety of everyone we recommend wearing a mask when appropriate or where you feel comfortable doing so. This is a transitional moment for everyone, we’re all becoming familiar with the new recommendations and are adjusting – please have grace and respect for everyone as we continue during these challenging times.

This Saturday is looking like another beautiful market morning. Vendors continue to bring new and exciting products to the market and we’re starting to see early summer items arrive just in time for Memorial Day weekend!

Happy eating, Justin

Market Hours & Info

Prime Market hours are 9:00 a.m. – Noon, EVERY Saturday, located behind Summit Coffee on Main Street in the Jackson Street parking lot and surrounding area.

We kindly ask that shoppers wait until the market opens at 9am before shopping (listen for the bell). Vendors will not sell to shoppers prior to 9am.

IMPORTANT 2021 DATES:

  • Prime Market Season April 3 – November 20
  • Holiday Markets December 11 & 18

DFM highly encourages shoppers to wear a mask while shopping. We are following the 2-out-3 recommendation: If outside and socially distancing, then no mask; if outside and not socially distancing, wear a mask.

All vendors, staff, and volunteers will continue to wear masks and have hand sanitizer accessible.

Don’t miss these items available at market:

Barbee Farms has squash, zucchini, and squash blossoms; Fair Share Farm has frisée, beets, and lettuce; Peaches N’ Cream has first of the season peaches; and Heritage Harvest Farm has snapdragons, sweet peas, and Icelandic poppies by the bunches and bouquets.
