Memorial Day Weekend at DFM

by | May 27, 2021

Hello DFM Shoppers,

The warm weather is here, just in time for Memorial Day weekend! As we get closer to summer, many vendors will start introducing summer fruits, vegetables, and goods. Make sure to keep an eye out for new things when visiting the market or review the weekly vendor offering (below in the newsletter) to get an idea of what items will be available.

This weekend, come to the market and find a variety of things to celebrate Memorial Day weekend either at home or out on the lake. If packing a cooler for the lake, consider: pickled treats from Nonni’s Gourmet, salsa and guacamole from Toro Loco, bottled kombucha from Updog, baked (pre-packaged) goods from Butter Crust or Jemdeeta Bakery, or dressings to add flavor to sandwiches and salads from Earthly Dressings. For backyard eating, consider: proteins from Big Oak, Gilcrest Natural Farm, or Flying Fish Seafood, veggies from our outstanding farmers, peaches from Peaches N’ Cream, goat cheese spreads from Blue Goat Dairy, and Italian sauces from Cannizzaro.

Honestly, you can’t go wrong shopping at the market especially for holiday eating and celebrations. This Saturday will be in the low 80s, bright and sunny! Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Happy eating,

Justin
