Davidson Police Host Summertime Storytime – Rescheduled

by | Jun 15, 2021

Members of the Davidson Police Department at the 2019 National Night Out event at Roosevelt Wilson Park.

The Davidson Police Department invites area children (or those young at heart) to attend a Summertime Storytime on Tuesday, June 22 on the steps of the Davidson Public Library.  There will be two sessions, one at 1:30 p.m. and one at 5:30 p.m. Event rescheduled to Wednesday, June 23.

Bring a blanket and join local officers as they read Officer Buckle and Gloria by Peggy Rathmann.  Enjoy giveaways and custard provided by Whit’s.

“This is a great opportunity for Davidson children to come have some fun, listen to a story, and interact with police,” stated Resource Officer Kanita Boone. “Community engagement is a priority for the department, and it makes sense to start with kids!”
