2021 Wildcat Football Schedule is Set
DAVIDSON, N.C. – The 2020-21 Pioneer Football League Champion Davidson Wildcats will be back in action with a full slate of 10 games in the fall of 2021, announced by head coach Scott Abell.
The Wildcats begin their 118th campaign Sep. 4 at the defending Southern Conference Champs and fellow 2020-21 FCS Playoff Team, VMI, in Lexington, Va. Like Davidson, the Keydets posted their best season in decades over the Spring season, ranking as high as ninth and earning a spot in the postseason.
The ‘Cats host five games at Richardson Stadium beginning with Shaw University in a non-conference clash on Sep. 11.
Davidson opens their PFL defense Sep. 25 at home against San Diego. Other league squads coming to Stephen B. Smith Field; Presbyterian (Oct. 16), conference newcomer St. Thomas (Nov. 6) and Drake (Nov. 20).
The Wildcats travel three times in October with trips to Stetson (Oct. 2), Butler (Oct. 23) and Morehead State (Oct. 30). Their final trip comes in the penultimate week when they visit Dayton (Nov. 13).

Davidson plans to allow 100 percent capacity in Richardson Stadium for the upcoming season. Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.
