Davidson Neighbor Identified as Victim in Accident

The Davidson Police Department has identified the 64-year-old victim of the pedestrian fatality as Davidson resident Suzanne Younts. Davidson Police are investigating the fatality that occurred on Thursday, June 17 at 1:02 p.m. on Main Street near the intersections of Chairman Blake Lane and South Streets. Davidson Police and Fire responded, but Mrs. Younts died on scene as a result of the injuries she suffered when struck by a vehicle.
Accident reconstruction officers from Davidson Police Department have been assisted by the Cornelius Police and Huntersville Police Departments. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Davidson Police Department at 704-892-5131.
No further information is available at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.

Mecklenburg County Mobile Crisis Team
The Mecklenburg County Mobile Crisis Team is comprised of a group of clinicians with experience in mental health, substance abuse, intellectual disabilities and situational crises. The Mobile Crisis Team serves all of Mecklenburg County and a referral can come from anyone. The Mobile Crisis Team has the ability to handle a crisis either by phone or by dispatching to the consumer and/or caller.
