Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger – Award Winning Cheeseburger!
Back before Chef Jenny Brule appeared on the Food Network’s “Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge” or opened the Davidson Ice House, she conceptualized, developed, and opened Barcelona Burger in Mooresville. Earlier this week, the burger she created was named “Best Cheeseburger in North Carolina” by MSN.
But wait – there is MORE great news. You don’t have to drive to Mooresville to taste that amazing burger. You can get it at the Davidson Ice House.
Now, let’s get those gastric juices flowing. It will be grilled fresh to order and made from 5-ounce patty of regional beef. It will be “smashed” on the flat top griddle so that it develops an “umami.” (Jenny had to tell me what that is.) That’s a caramelized crust. Meanwhile, the inside is super juicy and tender.
How do you top that? The buns are placed on the griddle too. Yum!
I’m told these amazing burgers go great with a local artisan beer.
All of this would normally cost you $19, but right now you can get a “Saturday Special.” All day and night you can get the burger, a side salad (or fries), and that beer for $15.
