Wildcat Lax Celebrated with IWLCA Academic Honors
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — After a stellar season on the field, the Davidson women’s lacrosse program has also been recognized for its academic work during the 2020-21 school year, being named one of the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Academic Honor Squads. The Wildcats also saw nine individual players earn IWLCA Academic Honor Roll nods.
As one of 319 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA to be honored as an Academic Honor Squad, the ‘Cats earned a team GPA of 3.5 to qualify for the prestigious honor. Additionally, Lauren Arkell, Hayden Callahan, Olivia Carey, Sarah Hardy, Natalie Junior, Izzy Lozano, Tess Reiman, Emily Weld and Katie Woodruff were each recognized by the association’s Academic Honor Roll, collecting a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as a junior, senior or graduate student.
The Davidson Wildcats will return to the field in the spring of 2022 and look to build off of their success from the 2021 campaign.
