Summit’s Basecamp Undergoes a Complete Renovation

 

 

Basecamp opened in 1998, in this awesome but aging 100+ year old building.

 

 

In the 23 years since, and in particular the last three years, Summit Coffee has grown a tremendous amount — we now have seven cafes, a National coffee roasting and distribution business, and more than 90 employees.

 

As we have grown, it became imperative that our flagship café be a knockout, and represent what Summit stands for: beautiful, welcoming spaces that people can visit to find joy, connection, and great coffee! The building needed some serious renovation, so we finally swallowed the cost of it all and designed a shop for where Summit is heading. We are excited about the confluence of keeping our original roots in that space, while also making a clean and beautiful…Not to mention structurally sound!

 

The design project was led by our lead café designer (and my wife / Summit owner) Tyler Helfrich.
