Women’s Soccer’s Road Trip Continues This Weekend

The Davidson women’s soccer team continues its string of four straight road games with two final non-conference games this weekend. Both are against teams from the Big South Conference.

The Wildcats, now 3-3, will visit USC Upstate Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Spartanburg, then travel to UNC Asheville on Sunday afternoon.

“We’re looking forward to it,” said Davidson coach Adam Denton. “It’s the last two non-conference games to grow and learn as we work toward A-10 play the following weekend.”

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats are coming off a 2-1 win at Presbyterian Sept. 5, as Brooke Ditcham and Emma Nguyen scored goals, on assists from Aleia Gisolfi-McCreadyand Sophia Caruso, respectively.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS, BULLDOGS
USC Upstate is 1-3, with a lone win over Spartanburg Methodist College on Aug. 22. The Spartans are coming off a 1-0 loss to Wofford on Sept. 3.

UNCA is 0-5-1 and most recently tied Indiana State 1-1 on Sept. 5. Before playing the Wildcats, the Bulldogs will host The Citadel.

UP NEXT
After the weekend, the Wildcats turn their focus to Atlantic 10 play, with the league opener set for Sunday, Sept. 19 at Rhode Island.
