This Week at DFM: September 18

by | Sep 16, 2021

Bring your wagons and load up at the Davidson Farmers Market.

Hello DFM Shoppers,

As the market continues to grow and our busiest season is quickly approaching, DFM is looking for more volunteers to join our Green Team. We have a number of opportunities and shifts to accommodate everyone’s skills and schedule. Volunteering at the market is a great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours. To schedule for an upcoming Saturday, please click here. To learn more about volunteering with DFM, please email Market Coordinator, Courtney.

As a reminder, DFM is now accepting vendor applications until November 1.We accept growers and makers that are local, 100-miles from Davidson, that highlight the talents and beauty of North Carolina farmers and food purveyors. If you are interested in applying for DFM 2022, please read and fill out the guidelines and application here. The application is also available on DFM’s website

Lots of exiting fall items showing up at the market this week. Two that I’m eager to see are Butter Crust Bakery’s pumpkin bear claws and Hercules Kettle Corn’s autumn spice and apple pie flavored kettle corn. And as a reminder, we provide a snapshot of what to expect vendors to have each Saturday in our weekly vendor offerings list (located below.) But sometimes last minute items pop up, so make sure to visit each vendor to see what new items they have –– especially now that we’re entering fall produce season.

Happy Eating,

Justin

Don’t miss these items available at the market

Gilcrest Natural Farm has 10% off cube steak!
