Hurt Hub Innovation Week Was a Huge Success

by | Sep 21, 2021

Innovation Week 2021

What an incredible INNOVATION WEEK it was last week! We had over 450 people attend all our events from TechStars Startup Weekend, to our business and student showcases, Wednesday Workshops and our Community Block Party on Friday night. Many came for multiple nights as well! Our focus on facilitating access and exposure to innovation and entrepreneurship for ALL and “purposeful serendipity” reinvigorated our community. Rest assured that everyone was wearing masks inside and appreciated outdoor gathering with proper distancing.

A HUGE thank you to our sponsors:

  • Boomerang Water
  • Insomnia Cookies
  • Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
  • PitchBreakfast & Innovate Charlotte
  • Summit Coffee
  • TechStars Startup Weekend
  • Town of Davidson
  • Venture for America
THANK YOU to our Hurt Hub Leadership team, including our wonderful student Community Events Ambassadors, campus partners, mentors and judges, for putting in countless hours over the past few months to bring this week-long experiment to life! If you missed it, we’ll do it all again next year, but with some tweaks thanks to your feedback. We look forward to seeing all our new friends at upcoming events (see below) at the Hurt Hub!
Back by popular demand! The Hurt Hub@Davidson is excited to be offering another round of the Building a Lean Startup course for all interested students, faculty, staff, and members of the general public. Kicking off on October 6, 2021, this 7-week course is an opportunity to learn about the core principles of entrepreneurship and work on developing an idea through the Lean Startup methodology.
No previous business experience required! Dinner provided with each class.
FREE for Davidson Students!
