Wayne Adds Miles to Lacrosse Staff

by | Sep 28, 2021

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson lacrosse coach Kim Wayne announced the addition of Olivia Miles to her staff on Tuesday, as the Wildcats are coming off of one of their best seasons in program history.

Miles, a 2020 graduate of the University of Connecticut, was a four-year letterwinner and captain of the Huskies’ lacrosse team during her senior season.

“I am thrilled to welcome Olivia to our Wildcat family,” Wayne said. “She joins our team after a great career at UConn, where she was a leader during a tough senior campaign. A 2020 graduate, Olivia lost half of her senior year to COVID. Having a second assistant in our program who is eager to learn will do wonders for our team, and I know Liv will fit right in.”

A Watertown, N.Y. native, Miles appeared in 53 of 57 games during her tenure at UConn, making 42 starts and scoring 92 points in her career. An All-AAC Second Team selection during her junior year, Miles graduated UConn with a bachelor’s in communications and was a regular AAC All-Academic Team honoree.

“I am so excited to be a part of the Davidson lacrosse family and excited to help Kim and Nikki Boltja as they continue to further develop this program,” said Miles. “I am grateful for my time at UConn and believe it has prepared me to help our scholar-athletes at Davidson grow as players and people. I am thankful for this opportunity and look forward to the future.”

Since graduating, Miles has spent time in the Charlotte coaching circuit working with the Carolina Cats, Charlotte Style and Lax Elite, and she served as an assistant coach of the varsity lacrosse program at Providence Day.
