DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson will step out of league play Wednesday evening when Radford visits Alumni Stadium for a 7 p.m. contest.
The Wildcats picked up three points in the Atlantic 10 standings Saturday with their 2-1 win over Rhode Island to improve to 5-3-0 overall.
Jack Wilson and Connor Smith netted first-half goals for the ‘Cats and Giacomo Piccardo was terrific down the stretch to give Davidson its first-ever win over the Rams.
Freshman Vincent Bennage continues to lead the Wildcats offensively with five goals, which ranks second among A-10 leaders.
Davidson and Radford have met 13 times on the pitch with the Wildcats leading the all-time series 8-3-2. The two teams last met during the 2017 campaign with the ‘Cats edging the Highlanders, 1-0.
Radford enters 2-4-0 overall following a 3-1 setback at Campbell over the weekend.
Dorion Dixon and Yoshiya Okawa lead the Highlander attack with three goals each.
Davidson third-year head coach Mike Basbt is just one win shy of 100 for his career.
