Brady Named A-10 Defensive Volleyball Player of the Week

Bella Brady, recognized once again, as an A-10 Defensive Player of the Week.

 

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — For the fourth time this season, sophomore libero Bella Brady has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

In a 2-1 weekend for the Wildcats, Brady totaled 77 digs, eight assists and a .947 serve receive percentage which led Davidson to its best start to conference play since 2015.

This season, the Winter Park, Fla. native has recorded eight 20-plus dig performances, including three straight this past weekend when she picked up 29 digs against Saint Louis, 25 versus Fordham and 23 against Rhode Island. Brady averaged 7.0 digs per set over the weekend, and averages 5.65 per set overall this season, which ranks seventh nationally.

In her career to date, Brady has 510 total digs with 294 coming from this season alone, good for fifth in the nation in total digs.
