Big Day for The ODD Sock – October 9
The ODD Sock collects clean, unpaired, outgrown, unwanted, gently used and new socks. The socks are inspected, paired, and packed by volunteers. The packed socks are delivered to nonprofits that have clients that need them.
The ODD Sock will be at Grace Covenant Church from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with volunteers sorting, sizing, and packing socks. We are still looking for volunteers to communicate with our new sock suppliers and volunteer organizations, fundraising planning, and our donation locations. We also need sustaining financial support as we are expanding our donation area to six states: North & South Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee. At the end of October we will be delivering socks into the states of Kentucky & Tennessee. So far this year we have delivered more than 48,000 pairs of socks to 5 states.
