Tracy Mattison Brandon – Candidate for Davidson Town Board

by | Oct 11, 2021

Tracy Mattison Brandon

I am a proud native of Dayton, Ohio but thrilled to have relocated to Davidson with my husband, Marvin Brandon (a native of Davidson), over 12 years ago. I have twenty-five years of experience in Information Technology Management in the educational, financial, and social services fields. I also have over 35 years of experience serving in leadership and community involvement. My community involvement in Davidson includes, but is not limited to, serving as board member of Davidson Lifeline, Davidson Housing Coalition Homelessness Task Force, Town of Davidson Neighborhood representative for Davidson West, member of Town of Davidson Mental Health & Wellness committee, working with Town of Davidson staff on various community initiatives, and various collaborations in community outreach.

As a Davidson resident for over 12 years and listening to community comments and input, I am dedicated to pursuing collaborative efforts to address citizens’ concerns. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Creating and maintaining affordable housing, including senior housing
  • Increasing pedestrian safety measures
  • Ensuring that all people are treated fairly and with respect
  • Controlled development
  • Historic preservation
  • Expand economic development
  • Increasing community engagement across all Davidson neighborhoods
  • Increasing measures to protect and promote a healthy ecology

My passion is to serve, engage and enhance our community. I have a strong commitment to making efforts to bridge generational, ethnic, and social divides. One of my greatest strengths is the ability to bring people together to work for the common good. I have been described as principled, idealistic, conscientious, and ethical. At the heart of who I am, I am a community advocate and servant leader who believes in community engagement, collaboration, and empowerment. I would consider it an honor and privilege if elected as one of the five to serve on the Town of Davidson Board of Commissioners.
