Free Tree Store in Davidson to Kick-Off Fall Tree Planting Season

by | Oct 12, 2021

On Saturday, October 16, TreesDavidson will host a Free Tree Store at the Ada Jenkins Center parking lot from 10 a.m. to noon.  Any resident of Davidson is eligible to pick up one tree, free of charge, with the promise to plant it in their yard and take good care of it. There will be volunteers at the event to help with tree selection and to review proper tree planting and tree care. Pre-event registration is strongly recommended at: Tree Store Sign up. A limited number of trees will be available for walk-up customers.

Tree Stores help grow our tree canopy by encouraging residents to plant and care for trees on their property. Trees at the Tree Store are native species to our region and will provide habitat for local wildlife, in addition to adding beauty, shade, and more canopy.

TreesDavidson is a program of Davidson Land Conservancy focused on preserving and enhancing our urban forest. We are hoping Tree Stores will be a regular part of our annual programming to engage volunteers to plant and care for trees across Davidson. You can learn more and sign up to participate in tree planting events at: Davidson Lands Conservancy.
