Having played two road games a week ago, the Davidson field hockey team is back at home for two contests this weekend, beginning with Friday’s 6 p.m. game with Atlantic 10 foe La Salle at Belk Turf Field.

The Wildcats, most recently, lost 4-0 at Longwood last Sunday. Following Friday’s game, they’ll host Wake Forest, which is currently ranked No. 15 nationally.

Statistically, Wildcat Anna Sharp ranks ninth in the A-10 with 1.42 shots on goal per game, while Macy Curtis ranks 10th with four assists.

THINK PINK GAME
Friday’s game will be played in honor of breast cancer awareness month. The Wildcats have partnered with Davidson’s Connor Eating House, which is hosting its annual Think Pink 5K in Davidson Saturday, Oct. 23 (with virtual 5K options for supporters nationwide beginning Oct. 16).

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
La Salle (5-7, 2-2 A-10) is coming off a forfeit win over Lock Haven last weekend. In their last A-10 action, the Explorers defeated Saint Louis 5-2 on Oct. 1.

La Salle features two of the league’s offensive leaders in Sofia Pla and Tatum Johnson, who have combined for 15 goals and six assists this year.
