Davidson College Presents Carmen Bradford with the Davidson College Jazz Ensemble
Carmen Bradford with the Davidson College Jazz Ensemble
Saturday, October 23, 2021
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Knobloch Campus Center DFPH-Duke Family Performance Hall
Join Carmen Bradford and the Davidson College Jazz Ensemble for a memorable evening of the music of the Count Basie Orchestra! Carmen Bradford has been singing with the Count Basie Orchestra throughout the world for over three decades, most recently in September at the legendary Birdland Club in New York City, the results of which were a new album released last week. She is one of our leading big band jazz soloists, most recently featured in early October as soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony. The concert will feature some of Ella Fitzgerald’s classics, several lesser known Basie vocal features, and a group of the Count’s most loved big band performances.
For tickets, please contact the Union Box Office at 704-894-2135. Free for Davidson College students, but tickets are required.
