Flags In Ceremony on Sunday, November 7
Logan Houston served in WWI and was a leader in the Davidson community. He is buried at the Christian Aid Society Cemetery.
Local residents are invited to gather at Mimosa Cemetery (626 South Street) at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 7 to place American flags on the graves of Veterans in advance of Veterans’ Day. Prior to placing flags, local Veterans are invited to share a brief story about their service.
Residents will be joined by Scouts, JROTC cadets, and their families.
Volunteers will proceed to the Christian Aid Society cemetery located on Ridge Road on the Davidson College campus. The final effort will be at the Davidson College cemetery located on North Main Street.
