La Escuelita in December
OUR GIVING TREE
Partners LP has sponsored La Escuelita in the The Giving Tree Village. Please visit our tree, which La Escuelita children have decorated. Votes are $5 each and 100% of the votes purchased go directly to our school. All voting in online here.:
LAS POSADAS – DECEMBER 5 at 3:00 PM
The families of La Escuelita Bilingual Preschool and members of St. Alban’s Church are busily planning Las Posadas for all. This is a special Advent service to re-enact Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem. All are welcome! Please join us.
In costume, the children re-enact the story of Jesus’ birth and the adults are the remaining “cast” as they make their way through the church stations. St. Alban’s neighbors are the “innkeepers” and have a wonderful time turning “Mary and Joseph” away! We sing the traditional songs at each stop and end in the sanctuary with one of the moms reading the Christmas story in Spanish. At the end, we have a big fiesta in the narthex with a piñata and the children get small gift bags from donors. It is a heartwarming experience! (poster attached)
