Wrestling Returned to the Mat at Patriot Open
FAIRFAX, Va. – Davidson wrestling was back in action Sunday, grappling at the Arms Software Patriot Open hosted by George Mason on Saturday. The day was highlighted by Kyle Gorant’s and Gavin Henry’s third place finishes in the 133 and 184 weight classes, respectively.
“It was a very solid day for us,” head coach Andy Lausier said. “Anytime we get a group of guys going deep into brackets and wrestling five or six matches a day, we are gaining invaluable experience. These open tournaments are a grind, so we are looking to build competitive character that will ultimately be a difference maker at the SoCon tournament.”
