This year was—jumping eagerly to past tense for 2021—a tough one for many. An awful year for some. Bright moments sustained us and sharing them with you, our News of Davidson readers, kept this small, non-profit team grounded, even as the year ends with an omicron thud.

But we are grateful. You clicked, you read, you sent us stories and tips and thank-you notes. And you sent checks! The few envelopes we’ve yet to open will no doubt bust through our 2021 budget goal of $5,000. Thank you!

If you are still making year-end gifts, please consider adding News of Davidson to the list—we can surely use it for our 2022 bucket list.

Speaking of 2022, we hope you are vaccinated, masking up when out and about, and will test frequently as we warily go about our business in the months ahead.
