Community Invited to LiveDavidson Open House

by | Feb 21, 2022

LiveDavidson Open House – February 27, 3-6pm, Ada Jenkins Center

Citizens are invited to an interactive community meeting, where community members can learn more about the town’s developing Affordable Housing Plan (known as LiveDavidson) and provide feedback on affordable housing in Davidson.

Davidson is one of the most expensive places to live in the state, and it is anticipated that real estate prices and rent will continue to increase in the foreseeable future. The Davidson Board of Commissioners has charged OnPointe Partners, the plan’s consultant, with helping to develop a plan that provides comprehensive, and alternative, recommendations for producing new and preserving existing affordable homes, targeted regulatory changes, strategic infrastructure investments, strategic ways to spend the housing (payment in lieu) funds, identify new funding sources, as well as other tools to increase affordable housing. For some fast facts about the affordable housing plan, please check out our informational flyer hereCommunity Invited to LiveDavidson Open House – February 27, 3-6pm, Ada Jenkins Center.

This first community meeting will provide residents the opportunity to provide feedback in person and also meet the team working on the plan and get questions answered about affordable housing. Participation from the public is a key component in developing the Affordable Housing Plan, and we hope many of our residents will be able to drop by. Refreshments will be provided.

As a reminder, if you have not yet had the opportunity to do so, please take two to three moments and complete the Affordable Housing Survey hereCommunity Invited to LiveDavidson Open House – February 27, 3-6pm, Ada Jenkins Center. Your responses and feedback collected here will also contribute to the final Affordable Housing Plan.
