NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Davidson junior Grace Fahey has earned the first Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor of her career, after leading the Wildcats’ offense during a 2-0 week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Connecticut native scored 10 points off nine goals and one assist in the two-win week for Davidson, as the ‘Cats improved to 4-0 for the first time since the 2019 campaign. Fahey had one ground ball, went 1-1 on a free position opportunity and ended the week with a .900 shot percentage. She also matched her career-high of five goals on Sunday during Davidson’s dominant, 15-4 win over Cincinnati.

Fahey and the rest of the Wildcats will return to action on Saturday afternoon in the Queen City, taking on Winthrop University in the Crown Lacrosse Classic. Opening draw is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
