Amanda Ewington, PhD is Professor and Chair of the Russian Studies Department at Davidson College. She will provide historical and cultural context about Putin’s historical distortions and his obsession with justifying this atrocity with “history.” She will also discuss the advent of Russia’s isolation from the world due to sanctions.
