Wildcat Football Announces 2022 Fall Schedule
DAVIDSON, N.C. – The back-to-back Pioneer Football League Champions are set to take the field in a slew of 11 games for the 2022 season, announced by Davidson Football Head Coach Scott Abell on Thursday. The Davidson Wildcats will kick things off on the road at FCS opponent Jacksonville State on September 2 in a rematch of the 2021 Spring FCS Playoff game.
The team will host six teams during the 2022 season including the Barton College Bulldogs for Davidson’s home opener on September 10 with kickoff set for 7 pm. They will conclude their two-game non-conference schedule with a clash against St. Andrews on Sept. 17. The ‘Cats are set to open up PFL Conference play on the road against Presbyterian on Sept. 24, looking for back-to-back wins in the Carolina Border Clash. In Davidson’s third home game and conference home opener, the Wildcats will take on Butler on October 1. They welcome Morehead State (Oct. 15) and Stetson (Nov. 5) to Richardson Stadium and will end the regular season with an afternoon matchup against Dayton on Nov. 19.
Four road trips await the ‘Cats including trips to to Presbyterian (Sept. 24), St. Thomas (Oct. 8), Drake (Oct. 22) and San Diego (Nov. 12).
Season tickets are not on sale yet, however, fans interested in applying for season tickets can follow this link for the application. Those who fill the application out between now and the Spring Game on April 23 will unlock half-priced season tickets.
