Baseball Hosts Norfolk State for a 3-Game Series

The Wildcats had a lot to celebrate during the final game of the 4-game series with Columbia. They’ll try to repeat that this weekend when they host Norfolk State.

 

The Wildcats return to Wilson Field this weekend to host the Spartans of Norfolk State University. Games are scheduled for Friday 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The ‘Cats split a 4-game series with Columbia last weekend. Their midweek game against Appalachian State was postponed due to rain.

The Spartans are coming to Davidson for the first road trip of their season. They have hosted Marist, Georgetown, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) for three 3-game home series in Norfolk. They are 3-6 on the season. After opening the season being swept by Marist, they won a game vs. Georgetown, and won the series with NJIT (2-1).

The Wildcats have played 12 games this season – all of them at Wilson Field. They are 9-3 overall.

  • Carico also leads the team with 14 RBIs
  • Candelaria has 11 RBIs
