Community School of Davidson Presents: “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This year’s Community School of Davidson’s spring musical is the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This hilarious musical follows a story about a group of elementary and middle schoolers competing in the county’s spelling bee.  Olive Ostrovsky, Chip Tolentino, William Barfee, Marcy Parks, and Leaf Coneybear all enter the spelling bee with their own unique reasons. Some know that they will win, some aren’t certain about the whole thing, and some will do whatever it takes to win.

This year, the cast consists of 12 actors Avery Clewell, Aaron Alcamo, Anna Steskel, Arthur Chaney, Blake Tapia, Garret Maclntyer, Griffin Small, Julian Chadwin, Lilly Feighery, Morgan Thomas, Quentin Small, and Riziki Chabeda.

The musical is recommended for grades six and up due to language and maturity. The show runs from March 24-27. Tickets cost $10 online and $15 at the door. You can get your tickets at this link. Show times are Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. The doors will open thirty minutes before the show times.
