Ben & Jerry’s Supports The Pink Bin Project
Ben & Jerry’s in Davidson is partnering with Emma Dulin, an 11th grader at Hough High School on The Pink Bin Project. It is a collection bin project, accepting feminine hygiene and other hygiene products to be donated to women’s and homeless shelters throughout the Charlotte area. Emma began this project about 2 years ago upon hearing about the issue of period poverty online, with young girls speaking of having to stay home from school or work due to their limited access to menstruation products. Since beginning the project, we’ve been able to collect well over 5,000 menstrual products and spread to 4 other states.
Your donations to the Bin at Ben & Jerry’s allow for women of all ages in our community to have easier access to these menstruation products without having to ask for them. Consider donating needed items or cash for the Project. #pinkbinproject #benandjerrysdav #pinkbin #helpotherwomen #joinusindoinggood
