Happy Prime Market Season!
We officially kicked off the 14th Prime Season market this past Saturday! Mother Nature was so good to us! There were a lot of new faces, 8 new vendors, 29 returning vendors, a singing mayor, an educational workshop and the ever popular chef demo! We had over 1400 shoppers visit our 100% local vendors! Stay tuned all season! We plan to bring you fresh and local products, enriching workshops and music every Saturday, 9am til Noon! Be sure to check davidsonfarmersmarket.

Chef Demos are back! – This week we welcome Ferra Hoover as DFM Chef demo of the week. Ferra is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. One of the focus’ of her training is to help women who are concerned about cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol. Ferra will be making “Honey Glazed Carrots.” You can find several vendors with fresh carrots and honey to create this yummy treat at home! Make sure to stop by the Chef Demo tent to sample Ferra’s Springtime recipe!

Available this Week: We are gearing up for another great market this weekend! NEW this week: Asparagus! Lots of lettuce in many types will be available! We will have beautiful heads of Red Leaf, Green Leaf, and also our greenhouse cut mix. There will be lots of beautiful spinach as well! Also available will be raab, Swiss chard, green garlic, kale, colorful rainbow and traditional orange carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, and white potatoes. As a special treat for the early risers, we will have a limited amount of cucumbers from our greenhouse! Don’t forget to pick up some farm fresh eggs!
For those of you who are ready to get outside and dig in the dirt, we will have rosemary, basil, and assorted starter vegetable plants. For the patio gardener, we will have a few of Tommy’s “up-side-down” tomato plants.

Available this Week: We are excited to offer lots of potted herbs this week. Our selection will include Basil, Lemon Basil, Thyme, Lemon Thyme, Oregano, Mint, Lemon Balm, Lavender, Cilantro, Dill, and more. All herbs are available in 4″ pots and will be great to keep on the kitchen counter, or planted outside when the weather warms up a bit. We will also have our fresh eggs, we have a large variety of chickens which lay a rainbow of colored eggs.
Home Delivery: this week we will also be taking orders for our Old Fashioned Home Delivery. We will begin delivering fresh produce from our farm to your door beginning in late April and ending in Late July. We deliver to Mooresville, Huntersville, Cornelius, Salisbury and surrounding areas. This weekly delivery is a great way to provide your family with fresh vegetables all season long.
