This Week at DFM: April 23

by | Apr 21, 2022

DFM Shoppers,

This Saturday we celebrate Earth Day at Davidson Farmers Market!  It is a day to stop and recognize just how important our planet is.  It is also a day we stop and recognize just how we should be treating Earth.  The folks at the Town of Davidson have put together a variety of informative and fun events to help us do just that. Come shop for your upcoming week’s worth of veggies, proteins and grab some flowers…all of which is brought to us by our friend, Mother Earth!

Vendor Spotlight

From perennials to hanging baskets and everything in between, the Davidson Farmers Market welcomes A-Wow the Plant Gal to our partial season vendor line up.  Local business owner, Adwowa Afenyi-Annan grows her plants from seeds, rooted cuttings and unrooted cuttings. She always has something fresh and exciting growing for her DFM customers.  Stop by and visit Adwowa at the market!  www.awowtheplantgal.com/products

Chef Raul of Mestizo Contemporary Mexican Cuisine will be the DFM Chef Demo this Saturday.  His recipe will showcase several locally sourced ingredients which can be found at the DFM such as: Spring Mix, goat cheese, spinach and beets.  The complete recipe can be found here.
Thank you Chef Raul!
