This Week at DFM: April 30

by | Apr 28, 2022

A message from Amy Diamond, the DFM Board President…

It goes without saying that spending Saturday mornings at the Davidson Farmers Market is a great way to hit all the high notes- fellowship, food and fun.  Each week our vendors bring new produce and product and the vibrancy of the market continues to evolve with live music and chef demos. Even if I wasn’t Board President it is where I would want to be! But I would be remiss if I didn’t put our market in the broader picture of all Davidson has to offer. Take the time to stroll down Main Street, flowers and produce in hand! Many of the shopkeepers on Main Street are Market supporters and we could not offer what we do without them. This Saturday is Independent Bookstore Day so make a point of going to Main Street Books and see what they are up to. The Davidson College campus is at its very loveliest right now and there is an all day, (9-4:30), special event- the Verna Miller Case Symposium that is open to the public. It’s an annual celebration of student research and projects and creative work. There will be food and music and lots of opportunities to interact with the College community.

I look forward to seeing you at the Market!
Amy
