Worldwide “Stitch in Public Day” – Fun Craft Event on the Davidson Green
Hearts On Fiber is bringing together crafters and non-crafters alike for a day of celebration of fiber crafts for our first annual Worldwide Stitch in Public Day, taking place on The Davidson Town Green in front of the library on Saturday, June 11, from 10 am to 4 pm.
C.R.A.F.T. Guild will be selling tickets to fiber-related carnival games such as Yarn Ball Toss, Yarn-Cake Walk, Guess The Fiber, and Unravel It. The Piedmont Fiber Guild will have demonstrations for weaving and spinning as well.
Local fiber enthusiasts can bring their current projects to sit and stitch with others or register for the 12-Hour Stitch-a-thon sponsored by Davidson Lifeline to raise awareness and funds for Suicide Prevention.
Hearts on Fiber is a warm and welcoming fiber arts shop located north of Charlotte in Davidson, NC. Owner Kim Clark looks forward to an event that builds community and awareness in the fiber crafts such as knitting, crocheting, weaving, and spinning. Stitch in Public Day was created as a way for crafters to come together and enjoy each other’s company.
