We at News of Davidson join our voices to give a rousing Hip-Hip-Hooray! to Barbara Freund, retired owner of Main Street books in Davidson, and Richard Freund, retired Charlotte veterinarian, who celebrated their 70th anniversary on June 14th. What a remarkable milestone for two wonderful Davidson citizens.
Barbara and Richard were married June 14, 1952 at First Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey. They had over 1000 guests at their ceremony, with a reception that followed at the local country club. The couple honeymooned at the Homestead in Virginia, to which they are returning in celebration of this 70th anniversary.
