Temple Kol Tikva “Mindful Miles” Road Race
On June 5, Davidson’s Temple Kol Tikva hosted “Mindful Miles”, a road race to support two charities in our community: Davidson Lifeline and Children’s Hope Alliance
There was a timed 10K/5K run/walk, and a Color Fun Run. In the Color Fun Run, runners were showered from head to toe with different colored powders. Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race covered in different colors.
All races started at the old Davidson School (soon to be Davidson Town Hall) on South Street and ended on the Town Green.
Davidson resident, Derek May, placed second overall in the 10-K with a time of 37: 03 and Kelly Griffin, also of Davidson, placed third overall in the 10-K with a time of 37:55.
Prizes to the top finishers were provided by Lululemon, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Frankie’s.
