New Rabbis Join the Temple Kol Tikvah Family, Serving the Jewish Community in the Lake Norman Area.
Our Davidson community is fortunate to have Rabbi Becca Diamond and Rabbi David Jaffe joining Temple Kol Tikvah (TKT). The newly ordained, recently married couple is relocating from Cincinnati, Ohio, where they attended Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
Temple Kol Tikvah is affiliated with the Reform Movement and welcomes anyone seeking meaningful Jewish experiences in a kind, inspiring Jewish space. Rabbi Becca and Rabbi David will work together to provide religious, spiritual, and educational experiences and compassionate pastoral care for TKT members and the surrounding LKN Jewish community.
Rabbi Becca will be on staff at Davidson College, as Assistant Chaplain. Before embarking on their rabbi search, Temple Kol Tikvah underwent a year-long exploration to understand its shared needs and aspirations. “Our community came together to do the hard, introspective work,” says Ernie Spevak, TKT President, “and that led to attracting spiritual leaders who share our vision and are eager to inspire, support, and guide us on this journey.”
Throughout the interview process, Rabbi Becca and David say, “We got a sense that TKT was different. This community knows itself and wants to keep growing, changing, and strengthening.”
Please welcome Becca and David to Davidson. If you’re interested in learning more about Temple Kol Tikvah and attending a Shabbat Service, please contact the office at 704-987-9980, or visit the Temple website.
