Main Street Books to Host a Launch Party for New York Times Bestselling Author Megan Miranda
Main Street Books will host a launch party for New York Times bestselling author Megan Miranda and her latest novel, The Last to Vanish, on Tuesday, July 26 at 7 pm at the Hurt Hub@Davidson Social Commons.
The event is free and open to the public, with appetizers and refreshments provided. Party attendees will hear from Miranda and have the opportunity to meet her in a signing line. Those planning to attend should RSVP via the Eventbrite listing. The Hurt Hub@Davidson is located at 210 Delburg Street, Davidson, North Carolina.
“Megan is a local treasure. After years of virtual and hybrid events, I am beyond thrilled to finally gather in person, celebrating what might be her best novel yet,” says Main Street Books owner Adah Fitzgerald.
Megan Miranda is the author of Such a Quiet Place, All the Missing Girls, The Perfect Stranger, The Last House Guest, a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick, and The Girl from Widow Hills. Her forthcoming novel, The Last to Vanish, has been named one of the best books of 2022 and received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Booklist.
Set in the fictional Cutter’s Pass, North Carolina, the page-turning thriller opens with the disappearance of a journalist who been staying in the small mountain town while investigating a series of unsolved disappearances. Main Street Books bookseller Catherine Edmondson praises the novel’s “plot twist after plot twist after plot twist… with an ending I NEVER expected.”
The book will be published by Scribner/Marysue Rucci Books on July 26.
Miranda has also written several books for young adults, including Come Find Me, Fragments of the Lost, and The Safest Lies. She grew up in New Jersey, graduated from MIT, and lives in North Carolina with her husband and two children.
