DavidsonLearns Fall Registration Opens August 1

DavidsonLearns has an exciting list of courses lined up for Fall 2022. Once you have decided which courses you want to take, click on the “Register for Courses” button. It will take you to the registration program. Fall 2022 registration will open at 10:00 AM on August 1.

Since 2012,  DavidsonLearns has brought  lifelong learning and community together, offering a rich menu of courses that inform, intrigue, and entertain adult learners in North Mecklenburg and beyond.

The Fall 2022 course list is no exception: You can begin or expand your understanding of history, literature, politics, film, genealogy, finance, religion, music, and if you can imagine it, more.

Registration for the 2022 Fall term begins on Monday, August 1, at 10 a.m. See the full Fall curriculum and plan to register for courses.

This is just a handful of the classes being offered this Fall.

Glimpse just a few of the 20 DavidsonLearns courses offered this Fall:

  • Tour the area with Bill McCoy in Around the Charlotte Region in Five Days
  • Hum along with WDAV’s Rachel Stewart in Born in the USA: American Popular Music
  • Discover Campaign Strategies in the 21st Century with Susan Roberts
  • Dig Christopher Ritz’s Adventures in Genealogy, for buffs and beginners
  • Get insight on Christian Tradition and Racist Thinking with Trent Foley
  • Learn about Creative Approaches to Land Conservation with expert Dave Cable

If  you are new to DavidsonLearns, welcome! Consider joining this vibrant community of adult learners who enjoy sharing share interests, ideas, and points of view. A brief introduction:

  • All adults (18 years and older) are welcome!
  • Instructors are seasoned professionals, with experience in higher education, business, government, or the arts.
  • Teaching styles mix lecture with class participation and discussion, with no assignments other than reading or viewing a film.
  • Most classes are small and meet in person.
  • Learners are expected to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and its variants.

This fall, DavidsonLearns is excited to offer a fascinating selection of in-person and online courses. Before registering for any of these courses you first must have a DavidsonLearns account and be a current DavidsonLearns member. We encourage you to take care of both of these requirements now in order to avoid a delay when you register. If you need to create an account or become a DavidsonLearns member (or renew your membership), click here.

To register for an in-person course, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. During registration for these courses, you will be asked to affirm that you are fully vaccinated. We rely on participants to report their vaccination status accurately. You do not need to be vaccinated in order to register for an online course. At this time, masks are optional but encouraged. However, this policy is subject to change.

Online courses meet as a video conference on a Zoom platform. We encourage you to download and install the free Zoom application now. Click here for instructions.
