DAVIDSON, N.C. – Just a day after Davidson football was announced as the preseason league favorite, senior running back Dylan Sparks, redshirt senior fullback Coy Williams, junior offensive lineman Beck Kipperman, and senior defensive lineman Jonathan Hammond have earned spots on the 2022 Preseason All-PFL Team, announced by the league Tuesday.

Returning players named to the league’s 2021 All-PFL Teams were placed automatically on the 2022 Preseason All-PFL team, in order of head coaches voting.

Sparks returns after leading the ‘Cats with 917 rushing yards and nine touchdowns and finishing third overall in the league in rushing yards. Williams returns for his last season after being tied at the top of the PFL with 14 touchdowns and posting 794 rushing yards. Kipperman was a key part of the offensive line that helped Davidson sit first in the country in rushing offense (348.4 ypg) and 3rd down conversion percentage (54.3). In his four seasons at Davidson, Abell’s offenses have finished best in the nation in rushing three times, and best in 3rd down conversion percentage two times. Hammond sat atop the stats with 64 tackles last season, 9.5 sacks for 58 yards and 13 TFLs for 70 yards, and was among the PFL’s top four in both sacks and TFLs.
