The past few months have seen an increase in inquiries at the Ada Jenkins Center: in June its food pantry served the largest number of people in more than a year. Right now, the food pantry is looking a bit bare, and the following items are greatly needed:

• Toilet Tissue
• Salad dressings and ketchup, mustard, mayo
• Instant coffee
• Grits
• Full-size shampoo
• Deodorant

Donations can be dropped off Tu-W-Th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the food pantry entrance, facing Davidson Pizza Co. on Mock Circle. If you’d like to arrange another time, please contact Heidi Acker.

Ada Jenkins Center’s LEARN Works afterschool academic program is expanding to a second location in August, in order to serve more students. Volunteers are needed!  Please check the website during the first weeks of August
