DavidsonLearns Offers Its First In-Person Mini Course: Exhibitions and Conversations with Artists Katie St. Clair and Lorena Mal

DavidsonLearns is excited to offer something new in its course offering for Fall 2022 – an in-person mini-course that meets on Friday, September 16, from 2:00 to 4:30 pm at the Davidson College’s Belk Visual Art Center.

Hosted by Lia Newman, Director/Curator of the Van Every/Smith Galleries at Davidson College, this mini course welcomes two artists, Katie St. Clair and Lorena Mal, who will share their work and participate in the presentation and discussion.

St. Clair is an Assistant Professor of Art at Davidson College and holds a BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and an MFA from the University of Michigan, Stamps School of Art and Design. She is the recipient of many honors and awards.

Mal, a visiting artist from Mexico City, has studied at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City and has also been the recipient of numerous honors and awards. Her work has been exhibited internationally.
