Stephen Curry to Donate Refurbishment of Ada Jenkins Gym
On September 1, Stephen Curry and Curry Brand, powered by Under Armour, announced its ninth court refurbishment at the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson, North Carolina, as part of the brand’s mission to impact 100,000 youth and renovate 20 safe places to play by 2025. This project kicked off at a special time for Stephen who was visiting his alma mater with Ayesha to receive his diploma and be inducted into the Davidson Hall of Fame.
A few key details on the project below:
- In partnership with Eat. Learn. Play. and The Summit Foundation, Curry Brand will redefine the way in which Ada Jenkins can provide programming to youth athletes within the Davidson community.
- Curry Brand is tapping local community members to design a mural for the space that will reflect the values and passions of the local youth who will utilize this court.
- The brand is also teaming up with Athletes for Hope’s university program to implement training and development for Davidson student athletes over the next two years to further their understanding of the power they have to impact their community.
Renovations at the Ada Jenkins Center are set to begin immediately and will take around two months to complete. For more information on the court refurbishment, as well as images for downloading, please see HERE.
