Men’s Golf Wraps Up Play at Old Town Collegiate

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – For the second straight tournament, Davidson’s Alex Heffner paced the Wildcats on the individual leaderboard as the junior finished tied for 16th at the 2022 Old Town Collegiate hosted by Wake Forest.

The two-day event was played on the Par 70, 6,966-yard Old Town Club layout.

Heffner, the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, finished with a 54-hole total of 209 (-1) following a final-round 71. After making the turn in three-over, he played his inward nine in two-under 33.

Through two events, the Harrisburg, N.C. native has a 70.5 stroke average.

Davidson freshman Jackson Bode led the Wildcats in the final round with a two-under 68.

Joshua Stewart (213 | T-34th), Ethan Hall (222 | T-52nd) and Will Davis (222 | T-52nd) were also in the Davidson starting lineup.

Behind all five of its golfers finishing at one-under 209, Kansas State (-12) edged the Demon Deacons (-11) for the team title.

Rutgers’ Xavier Marcoux and Furman’s Will Morlan shared individual medalist.
