Learn More About the National Portrait Gallery

by | Oct 4, 2022

Join us as Ms. Beverly Cox looks back over her 43-year career at the gallery and gives us a personal introduction to the gallery and its programs. Since it opened its doors to the public in 1968, the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery has told, through various forms of portraiture, the story of influential persons who have helped shape the history and culture of our country. At the heart of this ever-evolving portraiture collection is the popular ‘American Presidents’ exhibit which is the only complete portrait collection of US presidents outside of the White House.

Presented by Beverly Cox, former Executive Director of Exhibitions and Collections Management at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC.

Date: Wednesday, October 19
Time: 1:00 pm
Location: Town Hall Board Room, 216 Main Street, Davidson, NC
