Davidson College campus

Join WOW in experiencing the wonder of the stars.  The Davidson College Physics Department and Astronomy class invite you to a Star Party on Saturday, October 22.  Bring your family for a fun and educational evening learning about astronomy and viewing the stars.  The event will begin with interactive exhibits and games led by the College’s astronomy class in the Blanche Knox Parker Esplanade between the Dana and Watson science buildings from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  The exhibits will be followed by nighttime stargazing on the campus lawn from 7:30 – 9:00 pm.

In the case of rain, the activity fair will be held in the Lilly Family Gallery in the Chambers building.  Due to the nature of astronomy, the nighttime observing session can only be held if the skies are clear.  If the weather is questionable on the date of the event, status updates will be emailed to all registrants using the address provided during registration.

Registration is required.  When you register, in addition to the number of adults and children, please in the comment section note if you are registering for the activities (5:00-7:00), the stargazing (7:30-9:00), or both.
