​Refugees from Ukraine who are living in Davidson include:

• A couple and their three young children from Kharkiv
• A widow from Donetsk
• A mother, son and grandmother from Kyiv
• A mother with two young children from Odesa

D4U’s family liaisons are in touch with each refugee household to identify needs and pair them up with volunteers who can help. In recent weeks, volunteer efforts have included: assisting refugees as they secure jobs including opening a bank account, providing ESL support for students, helping purchase a mobile phone, finding emergency dental care, and locating an affordable living accommodation near work.
