Chorale and Symphony Orchestra Performance
Knobloch Campus Center DFPH-Duke Family Performance Hall
This special joint performance for friends and family highlights some of the vibrant and challenging repertoire the ensembles are performing this year. The Davidson Chorale and Chamber Singers present music from Baltic nations where the cultural heritage of singing is millenia old. Folksongs and contemporary portraits of daily life in Estonia and Lithuania by Margo Kõlar, Vaclovas Augustinas, and Cyrillus Kreek will be presented. Uniquely, this concert will also be home to the premiere of the newly commissioned, Davidson Fight Song Medley, a tradition we are sure will be beloved by all Wildcats. The DCSO performs Michael Giacchino’s music from Up and John Williams’s music from the Indiana Jones series. The concert concludes with a special collaborative performance by the DCSO and Chorale.
Free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.
