Knotty and Board – The Ribbon Cutting

by | Nov 1, 2022

The ribbon cutting at Knotty and Board took on an even more festive look as Town Commissioners showed up in costume following the Halloween March.

Months in the making, Kim Hankins-Fournier and Michael Fournier finally reached the finish line of their ambitious plan to renovate a century old home on S. Main in Davidson.

And while the official Grand Opening was on Saturday, the Fourniers and a few friends were at the new Knotty and Board on Friday evening.

As the Halloween March was wrapping up, Davidson’s Economic Development Director Kim Fleming asked the assembled Town Commissioners if they had time to support a special mission. Without hesitation, Commissioners Ryan Fay, Matt Dellinger, and Jane Campbell volunteered to be part of the celebratory activities.

Kim Fleming grabbed the official pair of giant gold scissors and the red ribbon, and with that, the costumed crew of Commissioners walked from Town Hall to Knotty and Board.

After the ribbon cutting, the guests were given the opportunity to see the finished product. You can see photos in this album.

As the time honored bumper sticker says – “Turn Around, Shop in Town.” Knotty and Board is the newest local business that should earn your business. Stop in – see the amazing restoration and renovation efforts – and pick up some gifts in the process.

Happy shopping.
